Mengi Yay launches second Virtus 39 Twins

  Mengi Yay has launched the second hull in its Virtus 39 series, christened Twins, from its facility in Tuzla.

Designed inside and out by Italian studio VYD , Twins is the fifth yacht launched by the shipyard this year. She now joins sistership Reverie on the water.

Engineering is owed to Ginton Naval Architects. Much like the Virtus 44 and Virtus 47, the designer’s focus was on maximising space and placing “comfort standards […] at the highest level” in spite of the yacht’s “shorter body”.

Powered by twin CAT engines, the yacht can reach a maximum speed of 15 knots, a cruising speed of 12.2 knots and a range of 2,200 nautical miles. 

The launch of Twins follows the delivery of the first Mengi Yay yacht to be delivered to America – the 47.2-metre Ancora.
